Executive Functions Coach

Tina earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Religious Studies from Elon University. Following her undergraduate studies, she completed a year of national service with AmeriCorps, and worked with adolescents in an inpatient hospital setting. Tina’s passion to understand the multitude of factors that may influence student functioning in school led her to pursue graduate studies at Tufts University, where she earned both a Master’s and an Educational Specialist degree in School Psychology. Currently, Tina serves as a School Psychologist in a local middle school.

Executive functioning skill development has been a key focus of Tina’s practice. She specializes in creating and adapting individualized strategies to help students strengthen their organizational, time management, and self-advocacy skills, with the ultimate goal of independence. Through her coaching, Tina helps students to build confidence, increase self-awareness, and gain a deeper understanding of their unique learning strategies. Her training as a School Psychologist equips her with a comprehensive perspective on student performance and the challenges that may hinder success.

Most importantly, Tina is able to build meaningful and supportive relationships with students. She believes that a strong rapport is the foundation for effective intervention, by allowing students to feel understood, motivated, and capable of achieving their goals.
