Lisa Dobey, PhD

Lisa Dobey is a licensed psychologist with over a decade of experience working with children in public and private school settings in Massachusetts and Connecticut. In addition to working at Sasco, Dr. Dobey is a clinical supervisor at Aspire Living and Learning Academy, where she supervises a small team of school psychologists and interns who provide special education services to students K-12.

Dr. Dobey has experience working with children and adolescents with anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, and those with disruptive behaviors. She has also worked with children who have experienced trauma, and has received training in trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT). Dr. Dobey utilizes a variety of approaches to therapy, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness.

Dr. Dobey also completes psychoeducational assessments to identify a child’s strengths and weaknesses, and to provide recommendations for treatment and instructional programming.

Dr. Dobey holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Tufts University, and a PhD in Educational Psychology from the University of Connecticut.
