Grace DeGrado, OTD, OTR/L

Grace is a true optimist at heart and her passion for helping children reach their goals has guided her journey in occupational therapy. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Loyola University of Maryland and traveled up the east coast to pursue her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy from Tufts University in Boston. While in Boston, Grace was part of an innovative research team that studied virtual reality as a treatment method and is published in the Clinical Journal of Pain in June 2022.

Grace has a background in employing sensory-integration strategies to a diverse group of children with a variety of conditions in outpatient settings. She also worked within the Department of Education in NYC and provided occupational therapy to elementary and adolescent aged children as a part of her level II fieldwork. She has extensive experience advocating for services, supporting children and their families, as well as educating teachers and caregivers on the importance of using sensory strategies to improve processing and self-regulation. She is committed to empowering children to reach their occupational therapy milestones and fostering their holistic growth.

Grace is from Stamford, CT and has enjoyed living, working, and being an active member of the local community. In her free time she is usually outdoors spending time in the sunshine, in a yoga studio, or trying new recipes in the kitchen with her fiancé.
